Roy Keane, a former Manchester United captain, has predicted that the club will finish fourth this season.
After witnessing the Red Devils defeat Leeds United 4-2 on Sunday, Keane stated this.
United now have a four-point lead over West Ham and Arsenal in fifth place, but the Gunners have three games in hand.
Wolves behind United by two points and have two games in hand, while Tottenham Hotspur trail Rangnick’s team by seven points but have played three less games.
“I believe United will be alright for fourth place.
“There has been a lot of talk about players wanting to leave or contract issues with (Paul) Pogba and Jesse Lingard, but they just need to concentrate on the next few months because they are crucial for the club.”
“They need to aim to get into the top four, and they have a big European match coming up — concentrate on that and your other games.”
“Then, obviously, in the summer, you get an opportunity to reset in terms of the management, and they will be looking at recruits,” Keane remarked.
