FOOTBALL: Rangnick lists two key players for Man Utd’s match against Leicester City, including a striker who will not play.

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s interim manager, has chosen captain Harry Maguire and Fred as two key members of his side.

On Friday, Rangnick declared this in response to media questioning.

“We’re aware that one or two players have been chastised in recent months, such as Fred, who is a key player for our team and represents Brazil on a regular basis.

“Perhaps it has to do with the enormous expectations that surround this club, and people’s natural need to compare themselves to prior players and legends.”

“Fred and Harry are key players with the appropriate mindset,” the German explained.

After suffering a calf injury while on international duty with Uruguay, Rangnick said that Edinson Cavani will be sidelined “for a couple of weeks.”
