Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the new Barcelona striker, is expected to leave the club in June 2023, according to reports.
This is because the 32-year-three-and-a-half-year old’s contract contains a departure clause.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the LaLiga club disclosed that Aubameyang has the option to leave on June 30, 2023.
The Gabon striker’s deal also includes a €100 million release clause.
Aubameyang’s contract with Arsenal was canceled in order for him to join Barcelona as a free agent.
“We wish Auba all the best for the next chapter in his career and appreciate him for his service to the club,” Arsenal said in a statement on Tuesday night.
