Takehiro Tomiyasu has returned to Arsenal’s squad, according to manager Mikel Arteta, ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League meeting with Brentford on Saturday evening.
Arteta also revealed that Gabriel Martinelli will miss Arsenal’s match against Brentford at Emirates Stadium due to the red card the 20-year-old received in their previous match.
During his pre-match press conference on Friday, the Spaniard stated this.
Arsenal travel to the game after a 1-0 victory against Wolves in their previous match.
“The doubt was Tomiyasu, who is still not perfect, but he’s been training for the last few days, so he’s in contention and we can use him,” Arteta explained.
“Gabi [Gabriel MartinelliGabi] is out because of the red card, but the rest of the players are okay.”
The kick-off time for Arsenal vs Brentford is 4 pm.
