Arsenal is preparing to make a last-minute move for Alvaro Morata of Juventus.

Miguel Molina, Mikel Arteta’s assistant, is said to have called Morata to persuade him to make the transfer, according to AS.

Arsenal has been unable to sign Dusan Vlahovic, who has joined Juventus, and Alexander Isak appears to be poised to stay at Real Sociedad until the summer.

However, Arsenal’s offense appears to be lacking after the loaning out of Folarin Balogun, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Eddie Nketiah could potentially depart.

Arteta will now be left with Alexandre Lacazette as the lone senior striker for the remainder of the season if both players leave on deadline day.

The Premier League club is still seeking to sign a new forward before the deadline on Monday night and is attempting to complete a difficult deal for Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard is presently on loan from Atletico Madrid to Juventus, but with Vlahovic’s arrival, the Serie A giants may be willing to cancel his loan.

He had been linked with a loan move to Barcelona, but Atleti has stated that they will only loan Morata to a foreign club and will not reinforce a rival.

Molina, who worked at Atletico Madrid alongside Morata, described how the 29-year-old would fit into the club as well as promoting the Arsenal project, even referring to him as the missing piece’ of the puzzle.
