Ademola Lookman, a winger for the Super Eagles, has warned his colleagues not to put themselves under pressure ahead of Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against Ghana’s Black Stars in Kumasi.
Lookman, who just switched allegiances from England to the Super Eagles, urged the players should have fun during the match against Ghana.
“Not my first trip in Nigeria,” the Leicester City player told media at the National Stadium in Abuja on Wednesday. It’s just a game, really.
“Obviously, there is a lot riding on this game.
“We don’t have to put any pressure on ourselves; we just have to go out and have fun.”
Lookman has reported for international duty after recovering from a sickness that kept him out of Leicester City’s matchday squad against Brentford in the Premier League last Sunday.
