Azpilicueta, 32, wants to win the Club World Cup to add to his Premier League title, Champions League, Europa League, European Super Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup.

But now Chelsea’s longest-serving player has the chance to do something that only Frank Lampard, John Terry, and Didier Drogba have done in their illustrious careers.

Chelsea’s 2012 European Cup-winning team fell to Corinthians in the Club World Cup final, and Azpilicueta came on as a substitute after joining the club that summer, just after they won the Champions League.

“I think everyone at the club aspires to make their own history,” Azpilicueta remarked.

“Over the years, we’ve seen many world-class players try to assist this club add to its trophy cabinet, and when the time comes, we want to make the most of it.”

‘In football, there are no guarantees.’ – Ferreira has yet to prepare Palmeiras for Chelsea.

Let your voice be heard! Is it possible for Chelsea to win the Club World Cup? Here’s where you may share your forecast.

“And now it is true that we have our own chance to make club history, to win a trophy that no one has ever won at Chelsea, and hopefully we are the ones who can accomplish it.”

“Being in this tournament is extremely difficult, and after ten years, you realize how difficult it is.” We subsequently lost in the final to Corinthians, and I don’t know if I had a different emotion since it was my first season, we were in every tournament, and it appeared to be easier than it was.

“And then you realize how difficult it is, first and foremost, to qualify.” So, starting with tomorrow’s game, we must make the most of it. Hopefully, that negative experience will be beneficial.

“We’re definitely fired up. Losing in 2012 was quite painful. This was the club’s sole loss in a competition. It’s big for the club to win it for the first time. It means a lot to everyone, especially the fans. We’re here to represent Europe.

“You can win or lose in these competitions, but they’re not the typical cup you’d play every day.” Everyone understands how difficult it is and how important it is for us to seize this opportunity.”

Chelsea has become a serial champion under Roman Abramovich, and they willexpected to try and lift the trophy potentially without their manager.

Thomas Tuchel tested positive for Covid on Friday, and while he hopes to make it out to Saudi Arabia for a possible final on Saturday, he is being wired for sound and kept in the loop by watching films of training and participating in Zoom calls until then.

Azpilicueta further claims that as a seasoned player, he will impress upon the youth the importance of this opportunity for the club. On Wednesday, they face Al Hilal. This trophy is sometimes compared to that of European clubs, however Azpilicueta disagrees. He added: “Maybe sometime European we have a different perception of what the tournament is but the reality is that it’s very difficult to be here. We are playing the champions of the other continents. We have huge motivation.”
