Sean Dyche, the manager of Burnley, has responded to speculations linking Spartak Moscow winger Victor Moses with a transfer to the Premier League team.
Burnley attempted to improve their team last month by bringing in Moses from Spartak Moscow, according to reports earlier this week, but the mooted trade did not go through.
Following the outbreak of hostilities between the two countries, FIFA and UEFA confirmed that teams could register footballers from the Ukrainian and Russian leagues.
The move of the former Chelsea player, however, was not sanctioned by the Premier League because it would jeopardize the competition’s sporting integrity.
When asked about his side of the tale during his pre-match news conference ahead of Burnley’s Premier League encounter against Manchester City on Saturday, Dyche said: “At the moment, there is no side of the story to share.” When there are options, we are simply associated with a large number of players.
“It’s just another player with whom we’ve been linked, another circumstance with whom we’ve been involved.”
