FOOTBALL: Benzema is deserving of the Ballon d’Or – Ronaldo

Karim Benzema “deserves the Ballon d’Or,” according to Ronaldo, a Brazilian football star.

As Real Madrid continues to push for the LaLiga title, Benzema has been one of the team’s top performers this season.

After a long layoff, the France striker has returned to the national squad.

“Benzema?” Ronaldo, who won the Liga and Supercopa de Espana with Real Madrid, said on Sky Italia. He is a deserving winner of the Ballon d’Or.

“I’ve been saying that for years, and they’ve mocked me for it, but he deserves it; he’s a fantastic striker.”

Carlo Ancelotti’s side defeated Chelsea 3-1 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final showdown. Benzema scored a hat-trick.
