Gary Neville, a former Manchester United captain, has criticized Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard for their awful cameos in Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Manchester City.
Despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, Rashford was selected on the bench for the Premier League match.
Rangnick introduced Rashford and Lingard in the 64th minute with United down 2-1.
City added a third four minutes later and went on to dominate the Red Devils for the final 20 minutes of the game, with Riyad Mahrez scoring once more.
“I think they were better up forward with Pogba and Fernandes than when Rashford came on,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“When Rashford and Lingard came on, I thought they were even worse.” They were dreadful, in my opinion.”
