FOOTBALL: Demba Ba, an ex-Chelsea player, has been named the best player in the AFCON 2021 tournament.

Demba Ba, a former Chelsea striker, has picked Sadio Mane of Senegal as the best player in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Cameroon.

On Thursday night, Ba revealed this in a post via his Twitter handle.

So far at the 2021 AFCON, Mane has three goals and two assists in six matches.

After scoring a goal in Senegal’s 3-1 triumph over Burkina Faso on Wednesday, the Liverpool midfielder leads his country to the AFCON final.

On Sunday, Senegal will meet Egypt in the AFCON final.

“Regardless of the outcome of the #AFCON2021 final, Sadio Mane is, in my opinion, the best player in the competition this year.” “#TeamSenegal #MVP,” Ba said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Mane will compete in the 2021 AFCON final against his current Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

Salah has played a key role in Egypt’s progress to the AFCON final, having led the team to victory over Cameroon in the semi-final on Thursday night.

So far, he’s scored two goals and added an assist for Egypt.
