Sadio Mane, a Senegal attacker, has confirmed that he will represent his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Mane claimed this in an Instagram post after guiding Senegal to a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff victory over Mohamed Salah’s Egypt on Tuesday.
In the second leg of their playoff, Senegal defeated the Pharaohs 3-1 on penalties.
Senegal defeated Egypt 1-0 in the second leg at the Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade in Dakar thanks to Hamdi Fathi’s first-half own goal.
The match ended 1-0 after 120 minutes and 1-1 on aggregate, just over three weeks after the North Africans were defeated on penalties in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final in Cameroon by Senegal.
Remember that Egypt won the first leg 1-0 last week.
Mane, who scored the game-winning goal for Senegal to send his country to Qatar, responded by writing: “Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar, Qatar I’ll be there with my Lions, and I’ll see you soon, Insha’Allah!!!”
