TRANSFER: Nigerian star joins Atletico Madrid

Rasheedat Ajibade, a Nigerian international, has signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola.

The Super Falcons’ star has agreed to a contract extension that would keep her at the club until 2025.

Ajibade joined Atletico Madrid from Avaldsnes II in Norway in January 2021 and has made 21 appearances for the Spanish club.

She was a member of the Nigerian team that competed in the 2019 Women’s World Cup, as well as the U17 and U20 World Cups.

“I am delighted to extend my contract with Atlético de Madrid for another three years and to be able to continue to defend these colors,” she added.
