Families and relatives of passengers on the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train swarmed the Rigasa train station in Kaduna State as early as 1 a.m. Tuesday.

They want to know the truth about the Kaduna-Abuja train that was bombed by bandits, according to several accounts.

Bandits bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train, which was carrying 950 passengers, in the Kateri-Rijana area, injuring numerous passengers.

Following this revelation, travelers’ relatives descended on the station on Tuesday morning to confirm the passengers’ true condition.

The Kaduna State Government announced that the military had rescued the stuck train, but did not say how many people were killed.

However, many passengers’ relatives told 360 MEDIA on Tuesday at the Rigasa station that they were concerned about the situation.

“I got the news about 11.30 p.m., and I had to rush here this morning,” Ali Baba said.

“I cannot believe what I heard,” said another relative, Hajia Muhammed Usman. That is why I rushed to Rigasa this morning to learn what happened to my daughter who boarded the train the day before.”

“The Kaduna-Abuja road is not safe, the Kaduna-Abuja rail is not safe, and the Kaduna International Airport is not safe,” she bemoaned. Our homes and rooms are insecure. In Nigeria, there is no such thing as a safe place.”
