In Borno State, northeast Nigeria, at least 13 individuals were reportedly slain by fighters from the Islamic State for West African Province, ISWAP, in less than 48 hours.

ISWAP is said to have assaulted Sabongari village, a few kilometers outside of Damboa town in the state’s Damboa Local Government Area, on Sunday.

Local vigilantes told the 360 MEDIA on Sunday that the perpetrators killed seven individuals.

This comes just 24 hours after an incident was recorded in Biu Local Government Area’s Mandaragirau and Ghuma villages.

It had also been less than 48 hours when terrorists assaulted Kautikari hamlet in Chibok, killing a number of people.

Locals of Mandaragirau village said the terrorists will attack their community for the second time in February.

They came and took some young men from the village the first time, according to them, and they are still in captivity.

According to locals, the attack in Mandaragirau village killed three people and injured many more.

“They kidnapped two females and looted food in Ghuma village. “They also demolished shops and stole cattle,” one Umar Audu informed our correspondent.
