Despite their demoralizing Champions League loss, ex-Manchester United captain Gary Neville is supporting his former club to beat Arsenal to fourth place.
On Wednesday, Atletico Madrid knocked the Red Devils out of Europe’s premier competition.
Ralf Rangnick’s team is currently concentrating on finishing in the top four.
United are in fifth position with nine games remaining, one point behind Arsenal, who have 11 games remaining.
“I’m not sure why, but I still believe United can finish fourth.” Whether it’s hope or the devil in me, I’m not sure. But I still believe they can accomplish it, and Arsenal may withdraw.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t, and you’d have to congratulate Arsenal if they finished fourth.” But it wouldn’t surprise me if United ended up with it.
“If I were a betting man, which I am not, I’d pick Manchester United.” I’m not sure why, but something about them makes me think they’ll pull it off.”
