FOOTBALL: Tottenham pretending to be relegated — Conte slams players

Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has stated that his team is behaving as if they are relegated.

After a 1-0 loss to Burnley on Wednesday night, the Italian stated as much.

Spurs lost for the fourth time in five Premier League games, with Ben Mee scoring the game’s only goal in the 71st minute.

Conte’s team has 39 points from 24 games, putting them in seventh position.

“We’ve played like we’re in relegation the previous five games, and that’s the truth.”

“I want to do an assessment with the club and try to improve the situation.” If we keep going like this, we’ll have to pay close attention, because in this league, we may finish 10th, 12th, or 13th – exactly where we were when I arrived, in the same situation,” Conte stated after the game.
