At least six teams have qualified for the quarter-final stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON.
On Tuesday, Senegal and Morocco became the latest teams to qualify for the AFCON last eight.
On Tuesday evening, Senegal defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in the AFCON round of 16 matchup, while Morocco overcame Malawi 2-1.
Tunisia, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Gambia have all qualified for the AFCON final eight since then.
In the AFCON quarter-finals, Tunisia will face Burkina Faso.
Tunisia has defeated Nigeria’s Super Eagles 1-0 in the AFCON Round of 16 match on Sunday.
Cameroon, meanwhile, will play Gambia in the AFCON final eight.
On Monday, the host nation overcame the Comoros 2-1, while Gambia defeated Guinea 1-0.
The remaining AFCON round of 16 matches, though, will be played on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Ivory Coast will face Egypt, while Mali will face Equatorial Guinea.
This weekend will see the start of the AFCON quarter-final stage.
