FOOTBALL: Salah and Mane are set to face off in the AFCON 2021 final

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane of Liverpool are set to meet in the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Egypt and Senegal progressed for the semi-finals on Sunday thanks to both attackers’ contributions.

Salah scored one goal and assisted on the other as Egypt defeated Morocco 2-1 in a North African derby.

Mane did not score against Equatorial Guinea, but he was crucial in the Teranga Lions’ 3-1 win later that day to get to the last four.

In the first semi-final, Egypt will face Cameroon, while Senegal will face Burkina Faso in the other.

Salah and Mane will be looking to lead their respective countries to triumph if both Egypt and Senegal make it to the final.
