Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United defender, believes Burnley, Watford, and Norwich City will all be relegated from the Premier League this season.
Newcastle United, Ferdinand feels, will also avoid relegation.
Burnley are now rooted to the bottom of the Premier League standings, having won just one of their 18 league games this season.
The Clarets are currently four points adrift of safety, with Watford and Newcastle United occupying the other two relegation places.
Norwich had been near the bottom of the table for the majority of the season, but Dean Smith’s squad has climbed to 17th place after two victories in a row.
“I believe the bottom five have been cast free. Burnley, Watford, and I believe Norwich will be brought back into it as well.
“I would have given them a chance if this break hadn’t occurred, but I believe the break will derail their momentum.”
“I believe Newcastle will emerge victorious. “I think they sign one or two players who will make an effect [through the remainder of the January transfer window],” Ferdinand stated on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel.
