The German has agreed to take leadership of Austria’s national squad for a two-year period.

According to Austrian publication Kurier, the 63-year-old has also reached an arrangement with the president of the Austrian Football Association (OFB).

Ralf Rangnick gets another managerial job. Rangnick is expected to be officially verified by the OFB in the coming days, according to the article.

Austria needed to appoint a new manager after they failed to make the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

After the Manchester United game against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday, Rangnick will have just three games remaining in charge.

Meanwhile the responsibilities of Rangnick’s consultancy role at Old Trafford are yet to be confirmed at Old Trafford.
