Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has heaped admiration on Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte.
Both managers and their clubs will face off in the Premier League on Saturday, with City currently dominating the title race.
Guardiola told the press on Friday that Conte, the former Italy national team manager, had taught him a lot about football.
When asked about Conte, Guardiola remarked, “I learn a lot watching his teams, the mobility, the club relying 100 percent on him and his ideas.”
“He showed up at Juventus and changed a lot of things, as well as at Milano and Chelsea.” The club will be successful if he is completely reliant on him.
“It was difficult playing against him in my first season.” He can speak about it because he has lived in this country for a long time. We are well aware of the difficulties that this country faces.
“He’s a manager, and the way the national team plays is wonderful.” I hold him in high regard because every time I see his teams, I learn something new.”
Before joining Tottenham a few months ago, Conte led Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan, and he hopes to help the team qualify for the Champions League next season.
Conte was about to be named as Manchester United manager before joining Spurs. He led Inter Milan to the Serie A title last season.
