Following their goalless draw with the Black Stars of Ghana, Ghanaian actor John Dumelo insulted the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Nigerian Super Eagles, according to Dumelo, are “super chickens.”
At the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, the first leg of the Qatar World Cup qualifiers between Nigeria and Ghana concluded goalless.
Prior to the match, Dumelo stated that if the Super Eagles won, he would walk barefoot from Accra, Ghana, to Lagos, Nigeria.
“Dear great chickens, I was pretty convinced you wouldn’t win this game,” Dumelo posted on Instagram in response to the match.
Saraki challenged the Super Eagles to perform at their best against the Black Stars in Ahuja on Tuesday.
“Strong performance by our @NGSuperEagles!” he tweeted.
“Let’s finish this on Tuesday, when we have home advantage!”
On Tuesday, Nigeria is slated to meet Ghana in a rematch at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The victor of the two matches will advance to the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year.
