Former Arsenal and Tottenham players Jack Wilshere and Darren Bent have predicted that Tottenham manager Antonio Conte will resign if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Tottenham is now fighting for a top-four finish in the Premier League, with Manchester United, West Ham United, and Arsenal all vying for the final Champions League slot.
Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea are now in first, second, and third place, respectively.
Spurs are in poor form and have had a bad run of luck, and Conte slammed the club in a recent interview with Sky Italia, claiming that they are now ‘weaker’ after the January transfer window.
Tottenham signed Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, but four senior players, Tanguy Ndomble, Dele Alli, Bryan Gil, and Giovani Lo Celso, were permitted to depart the club before that.
“No,” Wilshere said when asked if the Italian will be Tottenham’s manager next season if they don’t finish in the top four.
“Nope!” Bent added. He’s vanished!”
