Chelsea, the European Champion has been encouraged to make a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Darren Bent, a former Tottenham Hotspur striker, says Pogba is a stronger player for France’s national team when he plays with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante in midfield.
Since then, Pogba has been linked with a move away from Manchester United.
The 28-year-current old’s Man United deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
Since Ralf Rangnick took over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year, the France World Cup winner has yet to sign a new contract with Man United and has not played for the club.
Pogba has also been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Bent, on the other hand, believes that Thomas Tuchel’s side should also compete for Pogba’s signature.
“When Paul Pogba is on the pitch with Kante, he appears to be a completely different player!”
“Wow, if Chelsea were to sign him, that midfield three would be incredible.” “But, again, he doesn’t score nearly enough goals,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“Yeah, he would,” Bent said when asked if Pogba would receive more time on the ball if he played in midfield with N’Golo Kante for Chelsea.
