Brosnan Has Signed A New One-Year Contract With Everton Until The End Of June 2023. An established Republic of Ireland international, Brosnan moved to Merseyside last summer on a free transfer and made eight appearances for the Club across all competitions.

The 26-year-old, who previously played for West Ham United, spoke of her commitment to Everton as she prepares for her fourth season in the Women’s Super League.

“I’m very excited to spend another year with this club,” Brosnan told evertonfc.com.

“Having played in England for three years with two different clubs, I feel I have a good understanding of this league and the quality of teams that you’re up against.

Brosnan Has Signed A New One-Year Contract With Everton Until The End Of June 2023. “The level of opposition, the standards in training, the intensity of matches – having experienced that will be good for myself heading into the new campaign and hopefully I can use that to my advantage.

“I feel settled here and this upcoming season is an opportunity to show what I can do.”

Brosnan enjoyed a run of games at the end of 2021/22 and hopes to keep improving under new manager Brian Sorensen.

“He has a good philosophy and passion that can take this team in a positive direction and I’m looking forward to working with him.

“At the end of last season I was looking to show what I am capable of and hopefully I can carry those level of performances into the new campaign.”

Everton manager Brian Sorensen highlighted Brosnan’s qualities and said he is looking forward to working with the Irish goalkeeper.

“Courtney has shown in her performances for Club and country that she is a goalkeeper capable of competing at the highest level,” the Danish boss said.

“I’m delighted she has committed her future to Everton and I’m looking forward to having her competing for a starting spot next season.”

Everton Women Managing Director, Alan McTavish, added:

“We’re delighted to extend Courtney’s stay at the Club.

“She has valuable experience competing at the highest level and we look forward to seeing her develop even further over the course of next season.”
