£4.25 billion bid to buy Chelsea from Britain’s richest man rejected. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, CEO of the Ineos Group, has had his bid to acquire Chelsea “rejected out of hand.

According to Sky Sports, the 69-year-old is still interested in purchasing the Premier League team.

On Friday, Ratcliffe, largely regarded as Britain’s richest man, made a last-minute £4.25 billion deal for the Blues.

The Raine Group has chosen a partnership led by American billionaire Todd Boehly as the preferred bidder.

They have till the end of this week to complete the conditions of a purchase deal.
