Thomas Partey, Ghana’s captain, has warned Nigeria’s Super Eagles that his team will go all out to win the second leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Arsenal midfielder gave the warning after Ghana’s 0-0 draw against Nigeria in the first leg of the World Cup playoffs on Friday.
Nigeria held Ghana to a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday night, according to 360 MEDIA.
“We know we should have won this game against Nigeria, but a draw is not awful,” Partey stated after the game to reporters during his post-match press conference. However, I am aware that our supporters are dissatisfied with us since we promised them victory.
“However, it isn’t over until it is over, and we guarantee all Ghanaians that on Tuesday, we will go for triumph in Abuja.”
