Helen, an Academy Award winner, was someone the 39-year-old actress respected when she first started out in the field because of her flexibility.
“When I was starting out as an actress, I always noticed that British actors weren’t film actors, TV actors, or theatre actors; they were actors,” she added. Someone like Helen Mirren, who has no adjectives to describe herself since she is Helen Mirren, would do limited series, cinema, and theatre.”
The ‘Locked Down’ actress, who has appeared in a number of Hollywood films and won an Academy Award for her portrayal of tragic Fantine in the 2012 musical drama ‘Les Misérables,’ is now starring alongside Jared Leto in the Apple TV miniseries ‘WeCrashed,’ and has admitted that switching between mediums is “the most exciting way to be an actor” and is thrilled that the concept has made its way to America.
“That always seemed like the most exciting way to be an actress to me,” she told Collider, “so I’m just extremely pleased now that that seems to have found its way to America.”
Anne reportedly admitted that she surprised her co-star when she made a joke about the character he played in ‘House of Gucci,’ and that her comment “divided Jared in three.”
“He called me Rivka and I called him Motek, and that’s how we got around the name thing – he was like, ‘OK Rivka, have a good night,’ and I was like, ‘Motek, just one more thing,’ and I went [in an Italian accent], ‘Father, Son, House of Gucci,’ because you have to!” she explained.
“I wasn’t sure what would happen because he’s so dedicated to his work, but I swear to God he split into three.”
“It was like a Horcrux: Over here was Jared, over here was Paolo Gucci, and here was Adam Neumann.
“I don’t think he did this, but in my memory, he was like, ‘Waaaaaaaaaah’. He came back in and I was like, ‘Oh dear,’ and he was like, ‘Woah, I think I just time-travelled!’”
