Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain has picked Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi as the outstanding right-back in the world.
Morocco defeated Malawi 2-1 in the AFCON 2021 round of 16 matchup on Tuesday night, according to Mbappe, a PSG colleague of Hakimi’s.
During Morocco’s AFCON last-16 matchup against Malawi, Hakimi scored a stunning winner to push his team into the quarter-finals.
After 90 minutes, the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid great curled in a spectacular free-kick from 25 yards out, eliciting wild celebrations from his Moroccan colleagues as they won the game 2-1.
Mbappe dubbed him the best right-back in the world after his stunning strike.

Morocco’s next game in the AFCON last eight will be a must-win for Hakimi.
Morocco will face the victor of the AFCON last-8 match between Ivory Coast and Egypt on Sunday evening in Yaounde.
