Matches in the Premier League will no more be postponed unless the club seeking it has four positive COVID-19 instances.

On Wednesday, the 20 elite teams reached an agreement.

This follows a succession of contentious decisions to postpone matches.

COVID-19, injuries, suspensions, and players on international assignment have all been used by clubs to postpone games.

In total, 22 Premier League matches have been rescheduled this season.

Arsenal’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur for the North London Derby was the most recent match to be canceled.

The new rules will take effect ahead of Burnley’s Premier League match against Watford on Saturday, February 5.

Fans will no longer be required to produce their Covid passports while attending Premier League matches, according to the announcement.
