The English Premier League’s top 10 highest-paid players have been revealed.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United tops the Premier League chart, according to Marca.
There are no financial limitations in England, unlike in LaLiga, and clubs are permitted to spend more than 100% of their earnings.
Despite taking a wage reduction to join United, Ronaldo remains the league’s highest-paid player, ahead of Kevin De Bruyne.
“By far, the Premier League has been the league that has best dealt with the pandemic,” Juan Corellano of La Media Inglesa tells MARCA.
“It has served to further distinguish itself financially from other leagues.”
