Neymar Jr, a star for Paris Saint-Germain, has told his dad that he dislikes the way he speaks.
While in a heated debate with his father over his rape claim, Neymar said this in a new Netflix documentary.
Neymar Sr. is in charge of his son’s marketing and looked to be telling the PSG star to be more cautious so as not to ruin the image they had worked so hard to develop over the years.
The new documentary provides a behind-the-scenes look at Neymar’s whole career, including his transition from Santos to Barcelona then from LaLiga to Ligue 1, as well as interviews with the player and his father.
In an episode of his new show, ‘Neymar: The Perfect Chaos,’ the former Barcelona star confronted his father over his rape allegations.
“I would like you to understand that there are no more risks you can take.” “What I want to say to you is that when something happens to you, my major concern is that all of our work to develop your image would be lost,” Neymar Sr. remarked.
“I can’t always be there for you. You used to like it when I was, but now you don’t want me to be. However, you require protection from someone.
“My son has been accused of rape.” I may annoy you, but I’m here to defend you.”
“Sure, but I don’t like the way you talk to people,” the 29-year-old Brazil star screamed out at his father. I’m not referring to what just transpired; rather, I’m referring to the situation in general.
“You can be a little too forceful at times. I understand that it happens to everyone… that’s the issue, but it’s fine.
“I just want to state that I would never speak in such a manner.” I want a genuine discussion if I make a mistake. I’m attempting to have a good time, but I’m failing miserably. That’s the conflict I’m having with myself. That’s why, like you say, I do a lot of things.”
