Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew have reportedly quit the Black Stars ahead of Ghana’s World Cup qualifying playoffs double legs matches against Nigeria in March, according to Fiifi Tackie, the Ayew family’s spokesperson.

Andrew, who is now the captain of the Ghana national football team, and his younger brother, Jordan, have opted to retire from the Black Stars, according to reports.

This comes after Ghana was unexpectedly eliminated from the 2021 AFCON group stage after losing 3-2 to Comoros.

The Ayew brothers, on the other hand, are dedicated to Ghana and are concerned with giving their all for the Black Stars, according to Tackie.

On Thursday, Tackie tweeted, “Andrè and Jordan Ayew are still fully committed to the Black Stars squad as they have always been.”

“They will continue to wear the Black Stars shirt to represent Ghana and give their all on and off the field, as they always have.” “We just got off the phone,” says the narrator.
