According to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, there are “quite credible accounts” of Russian military deliberately attacking civilians in Ukraine.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, Blinken stated this.
The attacks, he claims, would be considered a war crime.
Blinken also mentioned that the US has begun compiling information to see if war crimes against Ukrainian civilians had occurred.
“Right now, what we’re doing is documenting everything, putting it all together, looking at it, and making sure that as people and appropriate organizations and institutions investigate whether or not war crimes have been or are being committed, we can support whatever — whatever they’re doing,” he said.
“Right now, we’re looking at these reports,” says the narrator. He went on to say, “They’re quite credible, and we’re documenting everything.”
Last Monday, Karim Khan, an ICC prosecutor, said that he had launched an inquiry into probable war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine.
“I just informed the ICC Presidency of my determination to continue with active inquiries into the case right away.” “Our task in gathering evidence has now begun,” Khan had stated.
