After seven years of marriage, the Since U Been Gone singer filed for divorce from Blackstock, the father of her two children, in June 2020, and the two have finally reached an agreement.
The singer will pay her ex-husband a one-time payment of little over $1.3 million (£986,000) as well as $45,601 (£34,600) per month in child support, according to court documents acquired by The Blast. The American Idol winner will also provide him with spousal support of $115,000 (£87,000) every month until January 31, 2024.
River, seven, and Remington, five, will live at Clarkson’s house in Los Angeles, although the former couple has agreed to share joint custody of the children.
They’ve also agreed to vaccinate both of their children against Covid-19 because they’ll be traveling back and forth between California and Montana, where Blackstock is currently residing.
In the settlement, the singer received both of their Montana homes, although Blackstock has agreed to pay her $2,000 (£1,500) each month to stay at their former ranch until June.
The 39-year-old will keep the family pets and various automobiles, including a Porsche Cayenne, according to court filings, while Blackstock will get the former couple’s “farm animals, livestock, stock dogs, and horses,” multiple vehicles, and expensive watches.
Last August, a judge pronounced the Kelly Clarkson Show host lawfully single.
She recently filed documents to legally change her name. In the paperwork, she expressed her desire to drop her surname, Clarkson, and be known by her first and middle name Kelly Brianne.
