On Monday, Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi ordered that all pensioners in the state be paid their pensions immediately.
Umahi also approved the issuance of government servant promotions for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021.
The governor made this known in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Orji Uchenna Orji, and made it accessible to journalists shortly after the state executive council meeting held at the ancient Government House in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State’s capital.
“The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Chief David Nweze Umahi, has graciously approved the disbursement of civil servant promotions for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021 to all meritorious civil officials in the state,” the governor said.
“The Governor has also authorized
the distribution of pensions to all state pensioners beginning March 22, 2022,” he added.
