Anthony Joshua has denied taking a £15 million payment in order to allow Tyson Fury to fight Oleksandr Usyk.

The British boxer claims that he has not “seen a contract” and that he will “make smart judgments.”

In order to reclaim his WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles, Joshua had exercised a rematch clause with Usyk.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Joshua might agree to a £15 million arrangement that would allow the Ukrainian to fight WBC champion Fury in an undisputed world title bout instead.

Fury, on the other hand, is yet to agree to a mandatory WBC championship defense against Dillian Whyte.

“You know what irritates me about all these interviews I’ve been seeing?

“When I read interviews where I’m quoted, I think to myself, ‘I haven’t done any interviews.’

“How did this guy obtain this information?” ‘AJ accepts £15 million to step down,’ I’ve heard. I haven’t signed a contract and have yet to see one. So, until I say otherwise, cease listening until I say so.

“I’m the man in charge of my fate, the man in charge of my business, a knowledgeable individual who makes considered decisions at every turn.”

“Don’t listen to anyone else… “You know it’s real if I tell you something,” Joshua stated in a video aired on social media.
