Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State met in Abeokuta to discuss the increased number of kidnappings, robberies, and other security issues plaguing both states.
Around 11 a.m., Makinde arrived at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta’s Ibara Housing Estate, where he was greeted by Abiodun and other key government officials.
Following that, the two governors met to discuss the necessity for an Ogun-Oyo cooperative security structure.
It is envisaged that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be inked to secure the Ogun-Oyo corridors and borders as they both meet to discuss important security problems that impact the two states.
