Xavi Hernández, Barcelona’s manager, has explained how his team will prepare for the LaLiga El Clasico vs Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will host Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.
Los Blancos are coming off a 3-0 win over Mallorca in LaLiga, while Barcelona eliminated Galatasaray from the Europa League.
Xavi indicated at his pre-match press conference on Saturday that Barcelona will go into the Real Madrid game with the goal of winning three points, and that the Catalan club will assault the hosts in front of their home crowd.
“It’s one-of-a-kind.” [Real Madrid vs. Barcelona] is a difficult and complicated game,” Xavi stated.
“It’s always difficult to play there.” We’re going to go for three points and attack.”
“Winning tomorrow puts us in a strong position to achieve our first goal, which is to qualify for the Champions League,” he continued.
