Ian Wright, a former Arsenal player, has urged Marcus Rashford of Manchester United to stay up and not feel sorry for confronting an enraged Red Devils fan.

After Man United’s Champions League defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid this week, Rashford confronted a fan.

Security pulled the England international back to the team bus after he reacted to one supporter and turned to face the crowd, according to video footage.

However, after being ridiculed by a number of supporters, Wright has come out in support of Rashford, arguing that the 23-year-old has nothing to apologize for.

“Somebody just brought me the Marcus Rashford video where he addressed fans because the fans were digging him out and he offered one of them out,” Wright stated in a video posted to his Twitter account. I have no idea who’s doing that, who’s apologizing for him, who the f*ck is apologizing for that? People are so eager to say ‘I’m sorry,’ and this gives these fans the impression that they can dig people out.”

“Marcus, stand your ground, dude,” he urged. You’ve had individuals jump in and say things like, ‘Marcus is truly sorry.’ Don’t fcking feel bad about it, man. Some of those fans enjoy offering it but are unable to receive it. When you’re playing, you just do your thing and get back to where you need to be. “Fck the fans,” says the narrator.
