Tuchel backs Chelsea fans clashing with Azpilicueta, says ‘I don’t know what to do’. Thomas Tuchel, the team’s manager, says he understands why the supporters were upset.
The Gunners had lost three games in a row prior to their trip to Stamford Bridge, but they turned things around.
Eddie Nketiah scored twice for the Blues, while Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka both scored once.
Timo Werner and Azpilicueta scored for the home side in the first half.
Azpilicueta approached fans after the game and got into what looked like a heated argument.
Tuchel did not know what was said, but he was sympathetic to supporters being angry with his side.
“I was not part of it. I saw it, but honestly, I can understand the fan,” Tuchel said.
Asked what he will do as a coach to bounce back from the loss, Tuchel was blunt, saying: “I don’t know. Actually, I don’t know.”
