Matej Kovar, a goalkeeper for Manchester United, will spend the rest of the 2021/22 season on loan at Burton Albion in League One.
On Tuesday morning, Man United released a statement on their website announcing the news.
“Matej Kovar will spend the balance of the 2021/22 season on loan at Burton Albion after agreeing to a loan move,” Man United said in a statement.
“The 21-year-old has also agreed to a new deal with Manchester United, which will keep him at the club until June 2023, with the option of a one-year extension.”
“Everyone at United wishes Matej the best of luck this season, and we will keep an eye on his progress at the Pirelli Stadium.”
Following a string of outstanding performances for his country’s Under-21s, Kovar was enlisted to the Czech Republic senior team for the first time in September.
