Source Confirms Man Utd Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo Most Likely DestinationCristiano Ronaldo has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle if he is to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window.
However, a report has clarified that the most likely destination for the Portugal legend would be elsewhere after elaborating on the stance of each suitor, with Ronaldo looking to be on his way out of Manchester United in 2023 after dividing opinion in his second spell at the club.
After recently refusing to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur, Ronaldo was left out of the squad for a game against Chelsea. It ended as a 1-1 draw without him.
In the aftermath, former Manchester United player Gary Neville advised the club to create an exit “truce” so that the 37-year-old could continue his career elsewhere.
Coincidentally, Chelsea have been suggested as one of the suitors for Ronaldo. They were already contenders for him in the summer, although Thomas Tuchel wasn’t so keen. They could now revive their interest amid all the changes taking place at the club.
But that will not be the case, according to The Sun. Indeed, the report claims Chelsea have dropped their interest in the former Real Madrid superstar.
However, fellow Premier League sides Arsenal and Newcastle have been making their own assessments of Ronaldo.
Still, he is now looking more likely to leave the Premier League behind altogether.
The Sun’s source said: “Chelsea were interested in Ronaldo over the summer, but he is no longer on their radar.
“Arsenal and Newcastle realise the quality he would bring in helping them to achieve their ambitions. But both clubs worry about the wider impact his arrival could have on the clubs.
“The most likely destination now is Italy. Napoli were interested in Ronaldo over the summer and are still keen.
“Adding him to their squad is a step they believe will help in their aim to remain top of Serie A and to progress through the Champions League.
“But it will come down to whether the club can match the eye-watering wage demands.”

Ronaldo, the report reminds, earns £360,000 per week at Manchester United, even after taking a wage cut over the summer after they missed out on Champions League qualification.
Napoli, meanwhile, do not have any player on more than £100,000 per week. Still, they have found the right formula in recent months and currently lead the Serie A standings.
Adding Ronaldo into the mix could have one of two effects. Positively, it could give them an extra boost of quality to push along an unlikely title charge.
Negatively, though, it could disrupt the harmony in their squad. Some would argue that is what has happened to Manchester United. Indeed, the Red Devils now might be better off moving on from Ronaldo.
It has been surprisingly hard to generate interest in a player of his pedigree. But Napoli might be a club to take him more seriously, as he probably deserves.
