Angelo Di Livio, former Roma player, surprised everyone and admitted that Jose Mourinho’s team are getting ready to make a huge splash in the transfer market, by signing none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I know through a number of sources that Roma are trying to sign Cristiano Ronaldo and the 7th July could be the day of the announcement. It’s an indiscretion, but it circulates instantly in the football world”, the former player said in an interview with ‘Retesport’.

Fabio Petruzzi, another former Roma player, added: “I have it on good authority, from a very reliable source, that Roma are trying everything they can to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Details will have to be ironed out, because of image rights, but I know that he will leave United”.
In Italy, they are claiming that Roma are a step away from agreeing the transfer of the 37 year-old, who also wants to leave Manchester United after a poor season where they did not qualify for the Champions League.
