FOOTBALL: Rohr could take over as coach of the Black Stars in their match against the Super Eagles

According to Ghana Web, former Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr is one of the contenders being considered for the position of Ghana’s next head coach.

After the Black Stars were disqualified from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Milovan Rajevac was fired.

Ghana came in last place in their group, which included Comoros, Morocco, and Gabon.

It’s the first time they haven’t won at least one group match in their history.

The Super Eagles were guided by Rohr for five years, and the West Africans are already looking at him.

Rohr, who was fired in December, led Nigeria to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 AFCON finals in third place.

If he accepts the Ghana post, his first competitive encounter will be in March, when he will face his previous employers in the 2022 World Cup play-offs.
