Ramires, a former Chelsea player, has weighed in on the Blues’ FIFA World Cup final match versus Palmeiras.

On Saturday evening, Chelsea will face Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup final at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.

The Premier League heavyweights are coming off a 1-0 semi-final victory against Al-Hilal, while the Brazilian side defeated Al Ahly 2-0 in the other semi-final.

Ramires, who played for Palmeiras before retiring in 2020, believes Chelsea’s midfield quality will shine through.

“Palmeiras is a competitive team that can be highly dangerous when Rony and Dudu’s pace are combined with Veiga’s loading.

“The strength of this Chelsea team, in my opinion, is their remarkable ability to dominate their midfield, which includes Jorginho, Kovacic, and Kante, as well as the presence of Lukaku, who is having a fantastic season.”

“I feel that’s where the game will develop, with teams aiming to capitalize on these abilities,” Ramires, a former Palmeiras player, told Globo Esporte.

The match between Chelsea and Palmeiras will begin at 5.30 p.m.
