Kenneth Omeruo, a former Chelsea defender, has supported Nigeria’s Super Eagles to overcome Ghana’s Black Stars in a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff on Friday night at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The match between Nigeria and Ghana, according to Omeruo, will be challenging, but the Super Eagles will prevail.
He said this to media on Thursday, just before the team’s travel to Kumasi.
“The group is prepared. We had a nice training session, and I believe we are ready based on what the coaches are trying to teach us,” Omeruo remarked.
“We know that playing Ghana against Nigeria is going to be difficult, so we’re going into that game prepared to give it our all.”
“We’re going to win the game; it won’t be easy, but we’ve got the squad to do it.”
Following Friday’s match, Nigeria will play Ghana in a rematch on Tuesday in Abuja.
