Mohamed Salah returning early to Liverpool from international duty. Mohamed Salah is departing from his international commitments sooner than anticipated because he will relax for Tuesday’s friendly between Egypt and Liberia.

The 30-year-two old’s goals in Friday’s 3-0 victory over Niger in Alexandria brought his total for his nation to 49 goals in 86 appearances.

After playing for 90 minutes on Friday, the Egypt hierarchy determined that he did not need to play against Liberia this week, so he is leaving early for Merseyside.

The technical staff of the Egyptian national team preferred to rest Mohamed Salah and Mostafa Mohamed for the friendly against Liberia after they both participated in the last game against Niger, according to a statement from the Egypt FA.

The fact that Salah is healthy and won’t experience any risk of developing a fitness issue while traveling with his country’s team is wonderful news for Jurgen Klopp.

After a shaky start to the campaign, Liverpool needs to settle into a routine after the break in play. They’ll start by attempting to do so on Saturday against Brighton in the Premier League before visiting Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Another star from Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold, will not participate in any games during the current international break after being left out of the team that represented England against Germany on Monday night in the Nations League.

Mohamed Salah returning early to Liverpool from international duty. The 23-year-old has struggled to convince Gareth Southgate throughout his tenure as England boss, despite excellent performances for Liverpool.

The likes of Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Reece James all appear to be ahead of Alexander-Arnold in Southgate’s thoughts on the right of defence as England prepare for their final game before this winter’s World Cup.

Klopp will also be hoping that the trio of Andrew Robertson, Jordan Henderson and Ibrahima Konate are back from injury for Saturday, with all three pushing for a return this week.
