Martin Keown, a former Arsenal defender, has revealed Manchester United’s primary problem this season.

Man United’s primary concern this season under Ralf Rangnick, according to Keown, is’set-piece,’ adding that if they want to finish in the Premier League top four, they must improve their corners.

Man United is the only English Premier League team that has failed to score from a corner this season.

With 39 points after 23 games, the Red Devils are currently in sixth place on the Premier League table.

“Manchester United’s set-piece woes are nothing new,” Keown wrote in his Daily Mail column. Previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recognized this as a problem and employed Eric Ramsay, a specialized set-piece coach, to help them improve.

“When you consider the players at United’s disposal, this is an area where they are significantly underperforming.” They have Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes, among others, as capable ball-carriers, and Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo, among others, as prime box targets.”

He added: “despite this, United remain the only Premier League side yet to score from a corner this season. This is a key area which United need to address. Start scoring from set pieces, and their chances of a Premier League top-four finish will greatly improve.”
